Winner of the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay and nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Original Song, here is the throwback review for Call Me By Your Name.

Based on the book and set in 1983 Italy, the film tells the story of a kid named Elio (Timothee Chalamet) who befriends a man named Oliver (Armie Hammer). Together they realize throughout their summer that they have feelings for each other even though they’re attracted to other people. It also includes a peach as well, but you’ll have to see the movie to find out what role it plays in the tale.

With a beautiful story adapted by James Ivory, amazing performances by Chalamet and Hammer along with a special appearance by Michael Stuhlbarg and a little long but good pace and flow, Call Me By Your Name stands on the shoulders of great masterpieces like Brokeback Mountain and Carol.

Office Rating: 9/10
