It Chapter Two QuickViews

You’ll float too one last time with It Chapter Two.

Picking up where the first half of the story left off (in 2016), a violent beating thanks to a gang followed by a scary murder from Pennywise, makes everyone from The Losers Club come back to Derry, Maine to finish once and for all what they tried to accomplish 27 years before (in 1989).

Even though some might complain that Chapter One is way better thanks to Chapter Two’s runtime being way too long and that the flashbacks don’t quite integrate well in the final half of the tale, It: Chapter Two still has an amazing all-star cast plus the return of all the young actors who played the Lucky 7 before, incredible humor and a rousing showdown and conclusion that brings the story to a fine end.

To see the review I wrote for It: Chapter One when it was released, check out District 28’s Blog section on its website. There’s also the 1,000-page book to read by Stephen King and 1990 miniseries to watch. A good take at the time for this new version of the story to come out towards the end of the 2010s.

Office Rating: 9/10
