“THE BIG SICK”

A small independent movie about a true story nobody knows about becomes one of the best-known movies of the summer.

Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) plays himself, a stand-up comedian who unfortunately is set up with different girls thanks to his mother. When he finally meets his match; Emily (Zoe Kazan), an unusual relationship begins only for Emily to take an unexpected turn. Ray Romano and Holly Hunter, who play Emily’s parents, bring comfort and humour to the table while giving spectacular and hilarious performances.

There’ll be moments where you’ll cry, and moments of laughter but the jokes and dialogue are spot-on from start to finish.
