The Commuter QuickViews

Let’s do a hypothesis. What new Liam Neeson movie tests him to see if he’s a good person? The Commuter.

In this new Neeson flick, Michael MacCauley (Neeson) is a businessman who has a great wife (Elizabeth McGovern) and son. One day while on a train coming home from work, he gets told by a mysterious woman (Vera Farmiga) that “someone on the train does not belong”. After that, its up to MacCauley to figure out who doesn’t belong before time runs out.

While Liam Neeson is great as always along with the action and a fine supporting cast headed by Farmiga, McGovern, Patrick Wilson and Sam Neill, its script is formulaic and flawed.
